At the moment, clicking on a link takes you to that entry. If you hover over the link in view mode, a preview will open, and if you press “ctrl” in edit mode, a preview will also open.
I don’t like both of those options. I tried to look for a plugin, but I couldn’t find the right one. GitHub - nothingislost/obsidian-hover-editor: Transform the Page Preview hover into a working editor instance - I didn’t like it.
I tried to depict what I want in the picture. The second screen is what will happen after clicking on the “code example” link
using the hover editor plugin, just drag the popped up window a little bit or click the pin icon. it will remain as pop up even when you click away. won’t be modal (perhaps possible, didn’t check)
I want the popup window to open with a left mouse click. Without using the keyboard. There is a feeling that this should have been a basic functionality…
