How to bring back fuzzy internal link suggestions

I swear just a couple days ago the internal link suggestion link would be fuzzy (as in, it’s typo and abbreviation friendly), and just now it’s totally disappeared and the suggestions are totally strict.

I wish to have this functionality again because it honestly saves me so much time.

Just to be clear, i’m talking about the wikilink suggestions that show up when you type two square brackets to create a link.

What i’m trying to do

Before it changed, i could type for example “[[supermariobros]]” and the note on “Super Mario Bros.” would show up.

I could even do something like type “[[smb]]” and it’d still show up near the top somewhere as “Super Mario Bros.”

Things I have tried

I did try in restricted mode and the problem still persisted.
I’ve also looked through all the obsidian options but found nothing relevant.

How many files do you have in your vault? After a certain file threshold, the matching algorithm changes to avoid slowing down too much.

Right. On a vault with less than 10k files (I think that was the sat point), the fuzzy works. On my larger vault, link suggestion works with the strict fallback mechanism.

Workaround: add more aliases to the file.

I’m currently at ~4.900 files.

Either way the performance seemed fine so i think it’d be nice to have it as an option (i kinda miss it i’m not gonna lie TwT)
