How to adjust branch spacing and line thickness in mermaid?

What I’m trying to do

Hi I’m trying to modify gitgraph nodes to suit my project’s needs. I’d like to reduce the spacing between each branch, as they render huge in relation to the rest of the note, as well as reduce line thickness.
Is it possible? thank you

Things I have tried

so far I have only figured out how to modify colors of the chart and I didn’t find any info on this

update: Developer says the way mermaid renders is handled from obsidian itself.
To Obsidian experts: can someone suggest a workaround for modifying how gitGraph (and possibly others) renders?
