How to add bullets to multiple lines at once?

I’m in the process of importing some content and it would be helpful if I could select multiple lines and add a bullet to the beginning of each. Is there a way to do this?

On a Mac, you can have multiple cursors if you hold option while clicking, so you could click at the line beginnings.

To select multiple text instances, you’d hold option while selecting.

I know this works in Windows, too, but I don’t know which modifier key it is there.
