How do you set a default folder for each vault in Obsidian Web Clipper?

What I’m trying to do

I have vaults with different “inbox” folders that I would like clippings to be saved to by default. The reason for different inboxes is that one vault uses a symlink to share a folder with my main vault, and only notes in the symlink folder will sync. My main vault isn’t symlinks, so the default location is fine there.

Things I have tried

Search the forums and settings screens for a way to have per-vault default folder settings. I found a similar question from Feb 5, but it was for a single default folder, not multiple, per-vault default folders.

Ideas

I don’t understand how webclipper templates work, but if I can have different “default” templates for each vault, and put a different default folder there, that would work.

When creating a new template, there you have 3 fields to setup …

Note location is your folder where you want that Web Clipper saves notes.
Vault is your vault name, if you have more than one. And folder above needs to be in that vault.
Template triggers is a web URL, which automatically triggers (pre-select) your template.

Hmm. I’m not sure how to use that information to configure a distinct default clippings folder for each vault.
