How do I change the color of custom SVG icon priority status task manager plugin?

Hello! Please share your experience - I can’t find a suitable solution to set my own colors for priority icons.

I figured out how to set my own icons using the project GitHub - obsidian-tasks-group/obsidian-tasks-custom-icons: Replace emojis used in Obsidian Tasks with monotone SVGs (obsidian css snippet generator) developed by @replete.

The problem is that the SVG is embedded in the font and has the same color - monochrome. Readability is lost.

Is there any way to set a separate color for each icon?

First of all, I want to be able to assign a color to the SVG priority symbol
:small_red_triangle: for highest priority - red
:arrow_double_up: for high priority - orange
:arrow_up_small: for medium priority - yellow
use no signifier to indicate no priority
:arrow_down_small: for low priority - cyan
:arrow_double_down: for lowest priority - blue

It seems to have worked

now - a new task

is it possible to somehow move the priority icon to the beginning of the line???
