How can I reorder list items?

Hi… I’ve just installed Obsidian… right of the bat seem to be missing a big feature… In most of note taking apps (on iOS and iPadOS) I can tap, hold, drag to reorder list items…
How can I do that in Obsidian?

What I’m trying to do

Things I have tried

Maybe a community plugin exists to help with that. There are a few about outlining.

But this is what I do. This might not work for you if you are on mobile without a keyboard! I don’t edit notes on my phone, so I don’t know if you can set these commands to a button or something. (I’ll tag your post “mobile”)

There are two commands, and you can map them to a hotkey:

Move line up - I map this to ctrl-shift-up (Cmd-shift-up on Mac)
Move line down - I map this to ctrl-shift-down (Cmd-shift-down on Mac)

That works even if you have multiple lines selected at once, and I find it much faster and precise than using the mouse. I know some people prefer to use the mouse.

Bonus for me: That matches the hotkey for moving lines up and down in Scrivener, which I use too. So my muscle-memory still works.

I agree the Move line up/down solution. I personally use ⌥↑ and ⌥↓ to move line up/down. This is handy in general, not just to reorder list items. Note however that reordering numbered lists will preserve list item markers in live preview. Currently you get automatic numbering in reading view—you can use any numbers in ordered lists and the number of the first list item will determine where the automatic numbering starts.

The “move line” commands are usable on mobile by adding them to the toolbar (if they’re not already there).

Just writing to confirm that adding the move line buttons to the toolbar totally satisfies this use case. I was able to switch to obsidian from Google Keep (where I was keeping a lot of prioritized lists of things) after trying this out. In fact, for me this approach is easier than the typical click and drag interaction.

BTW I found the delete paragraph button a useful addition. Now I can add remove and order items in a todo list very quickly and easily!

Thanks
