How can I list all the blocks with a certain tag?

What I’m trying to do

Greetings,

I’m brand new to Obsidian (and loving it!) and would like to do the following:

  • I am using the Daily Notes feature to capture all of my important thoughts and assign tags to each block (like “Idea”, “Great Quotes”, “Personal Development”…)
  • I would like to then generate a list of just the blocks with a certain tag (i.e. all my “Ideas”)
  • I tried using dataview, but it doesn’t show just the blocks in list format. (Tried the “LIST” command and got just links to the notes with the tag)

I guess I would like to have the same output from the Tags pane in a note. Is this possible???

I think it’s coming but it will need an index. At the moment you can use the section/block syntax of search and stick it in a query. Requires a complete search of all the markdown so could be slow.
