How can I click on a link and open to the right?

I know I can right click a link and select “open to the right”, but I want a modifier to do this as I find myself doing it often. Maybe something like Alt-Click, or middle mouse button, but I couldn’t find where to modify that in settings.

I know the CTRL-click opens a new tab, but I want to open a new tab to the right. Middle mouse button click would be my preferred approach.

What I want

  • CTRL-click: open link in a new tab
  • Middle mouse click: open link in a new pane to the right.

Possible?

Hello.

Is this what you want?

I’m in front of a Windows machine at the moment and ctrl + alt + click on a link or in the Files tab opens it to the right in a new tab group.

Have a look here at the options: https://help.obsidian.md/User+interface/Tabs#Open+a+link

This solved it thanks, I honestly thought I had tried that combination!
