Hover Preview for Linked Block References (Anchors) with Content

Hi

I’ve been using Obsidian for quite a while and I like the preview feature in the linking.

I especially appreciate the hover preview feature where, when hovering the mouse over an internal link [[link]], the note’s content is displayed without needing to open the note. This makes navigating through notes and quickly checking content very efficient.

However, I’ve noticed that this hover preview doesn’t work as expected with linked block references (anchors). When I hover over a link like [[link#^anchor]], I only see the link text itself and not a preview of the block or content associated with the anchor.

Currently, I need to click on the linked block reference to jump to it within the note, and then use the back button to return to my original location. While this works, it’s less efficient than the hover preview for regular internal links.

I don’t know if this is common or if I’m overlooking something.

Thank you

Jirka
