Use case or problem
Currently need to right click on menu → ‘Close tabs to the right’. Would be better if this could be done with a shortcut.
There currently is no option for ‘Close tabs to the left’
Proposed solution
Add ‘Close tabs to the left’ option and add hotkeys for both actions

Or make it customizable to set Close tabs to the right
at top of right click menu. It’s different from Chrome, make it confused every time.
It would be great if this could even be a command in the command palette - I wonder why this isn’t already the case?

This would be great! Lots of web browsers and IDEs offer custom hotkeys for directional tab-closing, so this is a missing touch of UX parity.
In 1.7. close tabs to the right will be changed to close tabs after and it will follow the RTL/LTR of the global interface.

But why hasn’t it been added to command palette? It will be useful when lots of tabs opened.
Hello all, I couldn’t find anything to do this so I created a Templater Script that Closes all Tabs to the Left and Right with Hotkeys (you must first install the Templater Plugin).
Here is the Link to the Script:
