High CPU Usage on new editor (spellchecker in cause ?)

Hi !

I have encountered some CPU issues using the new editor, some examples below.

Following this post , after disabling spellchecker, it seems that CPU usage is the same between legacy/new editor.

Clicking in the note :

  • new editor : 15% CPU
  • legacy editor : 2,5% CPU

New :
clicking - new editor

Legacy :
clicking - legacy editor

Editing the note :

  • new editor : 10~15% CPU
  • legacy editor : 5% CPU

New :
editing - new editor

Legacy :
editing - legacy editor

If the issue is the spellchecker, it’s out of our hands. The new editor just leverages the better (more words, more languages) chrome’s built in spellchecker.

Thanks @WhiteNoise for this clarification
