Hide pointer/cursor on Windows

On Windows 10, there is a Control Panel setting that allows hiding the pointer/cursor when typing. When active, the pointer is hidden in apps, but not currently in Obsidian. As a result, the pointer flickers when typing.

Use case or problem

I’d like the mouse pointer to disappear when typing. Currently, it flickers badly and creates a visual distraction when typing.

Proposed solution

Utilize the Windows system parameter to hide the mouse when typing.

Current workaround

Move mouse away from text whenever typing.

Yes. There’s a visible flickering cursor when typing, I have to hide it off-screen or else it is very distracting.

Yes, I get this too on my Windows machines. Once you notice it you can’t unnotice it. I agree that it would be a great improvement to hide the mouse while typing.

I have a custom cursor, which is larger than the regular cursor. Being able to hide it while typing would be very nice
