Hide or ignore note containing tags

What I’m trying to do

I use a fairly complex hierarchy of tags for my notetaking activities, and to avoid having to re-create it each time I create a new vault I’ve created a ‘seed’ note that only contains my tag hierarchy. That way I can simply cut and paste the entire hierarchy to a new vault. The down side of this is that the tag seed note now shows up in every tag-related display. Is there some way to hide or ignore the tags in a specific note, or do I have to do a unique filter for each app/plugin/display??

Settings → Files and links → Excluded files

You can add patterns. Or you can add the exact name of your seed note. You could also have a folder where you store similar template files.

It doesn’t exclude from everywhere. But it works for search and tag view.

Downside: This will also block auto-complete for those tags in future notes, until you have that tag in a non-excluded note.

Thanks. Ouch on that downside you mentioned - autocomplete is the main reason I use the seed file so I don’t have to re-type everything in a new vault. I’ll play around with it and see if I can work with it.
