I have obviously downloaded obsidian and installed quite a large number of plugins but my questions are the following please:
Am I able to add my microsoft one notes to obsidian files including tables and if so how please?
how do i save my files as I thought I had added the save button but i am totally confused to be honest.
I have to admit this is kind of new territory for me but I obviously watched a few videos just after this last Christmas and hope I am not making things too complicated for myself
In my experience, people seem to run into difficulties when they expect a new program to function like ones they have used in the past. This is not necessarily the case, and people often have to abandon preconceptions before they fully grasp how the new program works.
I don’t know how MS OneNote items are stored (I’ve never used it), but if you can export them to markdown files, you should be OK. There is a list of the filetypes recognised by Obsidian on the Help site: https://help.obsidian.md/Advanced+topics/Accepted+file+formats.
I don’t know what you mean by a “save button”. I’ve never noticed such a thing. Obsidian just saves notes automatically for me.
Be aware that Obsidian has developed quite fast, and some videos may be out of date by now.
I would add to the previous reply, that it’s probably going to be less confusing for a beginner to get used to the base Obsidian functions before introducing all the complexity that a lot of plug-ins can add, especially popular and powerful ones like Dataview and Templater.
