Hacking Obsidian: Making a Desktop-only Plugin Work on your Phone or Tablet

Just published a new article discussing a little hack to use in unexpected places .

I tried this months ago – for the first time they sometimes were able to enabled, then not. I don’t try these hacks anymore but one can keep it in mind that it is doable.

On the subject of the plugin being updated: you can have your own version of the plugin by modifying the manifest.js of the plugin and install that. That is what I do with the Quiet Outline plugin as the latest version broke my Obsidian vault on iOS.

Some plugins use features only available to work on the Desktop or the dev does additional testing to block features for Desktop or Mobile only. So it does require testing to see if a plugin will work.
