Grill reads your vault and quizzes you on the notes you have.

Choose your ai provider (Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek or a Ollama model). The llm writes questions from your notes and marks what you type back against a short rubric it wrote alongside each question. When you miss something it records what the underlying misunderstanding was and works that exact confusion back into a later question.
Grill uses the same spaced repition algorithm that Anki currently uses. It reads your links too, so it can quiz a foundational note before the ones that build on it, and it saves each session as a normal note.
No key needed if you don’t want one. There’s a deterministic mode that builds questions straight from your notes (bold terms, headings, definitions, formulas).
The sessions are in plain files in a Grill folder in your vault.
WARNING: it’s only as good as your notes are structured. That means that definition-heavy, well-headed notes make sharp questions, while bad structure makes weaker ones.
It’s free and in the community plugin browser. Feedback WANTED!
