Hey Obsidian friends!
I’ve been building something I want to share with you all. I’m calling it Sample Note, and it’s now in Beta (v0.1.22) and completely free! I’ve been using Obsidian as my second brain for years, but using it with tools like Anki or GoodNotes always felt a bit clunky. So I created all of the features of my favourite learning tools directly in Obsidian!
Here’s what’s in the beta:
Text & Math Occlusion Wrap anything (yes, even math and images) in [hide][/hide] and test your memory while you read and in your flashcards.
Flashcards with SM-2 Review Queue
Make spaced repetition feel native to your note-writing — no more exporting or syncing with external apps.
Image Occlusion + Editor Just double-click on an image and start drawing occlusions directly inside Obsidian and review them as flashcards.
Animated Flashcard Graph View Visualize your learning progress on flashcards with EF (easiness factor) animations in the Obsidian graph view.
Tablet & Stylus Support for Drawing
Use freehand drawing tools and handwriting brushes right in your notes — works great with iPads or tablets.
Chat Assistant with Context Control Need practice questions? New flashcards? Help organizing your ideas? The integrated Chat Editor helps you consider, restructure and create new notes!
