Use case or problem
I used Obsidian to read and take notes on PDF documents. Often these PDF documents contain internal links (e.g., citations). However, after following an internal link, it is hard to get back to where I was in the document.
Proposed solution
Ideally, the back button (or maybe the back button + some modifier key) should work within PDF documents. I think it would be annoying if the back button, by default, worked with PDF documents, because then you might have the case of:
- Reading Obsidian note
- Open linked PDF
- Click a few links within PDF
- Click
back
, expecting to go back to the note, but instead bounce back around inside the PDF.
So, what about Ctrl
-back?
Current workaround (optional)
Currently, I am just using the search functionality to search for what I was just reading, or scrolling up…
