Use case or problem
I can takes notes more efficiently with abbreviations. For example, I’m taking literature notes regarding instructional design… I’m using “ID” for Instructional Design" and IDER for “Instructional Designer”. Other’s have already requested Find and Replace… which would help, but automatic text expansion would improve the process.
Proposed solution
I would like to create a glossary in the markdown file along the lines of:
“Glossary:ID=Instructional Design”
“Glossary:IDER=Instructional Designer”
and have the Obsidian app replace the abbreviations with full text on the fly as I type.
Another option is to have a Global glossary inside of Obsidian instead in the markdown file.
Current workaround (optional)
Use a different text editor with Find and Replace.
