Community Directory: Glitter - Obsidian Plugin
Hi everyone, I’ve been working on an Obsidian plugin called Glitter, and I’d love to share it with the community.
Glitter gives every unstructured idea a place to begin — and, more importantly, a reasonable space to grow later. You can first save text, links, images, videos, and other fragments as lightweight cards, then decide later whether they should be organized into a pool, inserted into a note, or turned into a full Markdown file.
It is designed to help fragmented ideas move into a continuous workflow for deeper thinking:
- When an idea appears, capture it quickly.
- After it is captured, keep it in an intermediate layer instead of immediately archiving it, so your vault does not fill up with lots of “silent” short notes.
- When you want to organize your ideas, you can enter a Pool to view, classify, filter, and manage them.
- When a piece of content is ready for writing, you can either create a note from it or insert it directly into an existing note.
- When a rough draft needs to mature, AI Polish can provide real assistance.
- When an idea needs more free exploration and connection-building, you can enter Roam mode and let it continue to grow.
Many of Glitter’s key features are designed to extend and refine Obsidian’s existing strengths, rather than replace them. The goal is to respect the visual style and working habits you have already built for yourself, while making the plugin feel immersive and natural in daily use.
Glitter now also includes an English interface. You can switch from the default Chinese interface to English in the settings page. And if you enjoy Chinese culture, you are of course welcome to try the Chinese interface as well — both languages provide the same functionality.
