Generate Periodic Note for Prior Week

I’m using the Periodic Notes plugin and I forgot to generate the weekly note for last week, and now I can’t seem to generate it.

  • My weekly note template has a lot of date-based template elements, so I would rather not generate it by hand.
  • I don’t see any way to open or generate a note for a particular week.

Any ideas?

You can achieve this via the core Calendar plugin; simply click on one of the calendar weeks without an existing note and it’ll prompt you to create it.

Yeah that’s what I ended up doing. This solved the immediate problem for weeks, but Periodic Notes also supports notes for Months, Quarters, and Years and I don’t think Calendar can cover that.

I might open an issue on github, this is an obvious deficiency with the Periodic Notes plugin.
