Hi all,
I’m using Obsidian on a Linux machine and now I’m having some issues with the front matter (properties, metadata). First of all, the properties dont show up in yaml format when choosing Source:
Editor > View > Properties in Document. In fact, no matter what I choose “visible”, “hidden”, or “source”, it seems to have no effect.
Then I somehow managed to display the “File Properties” on the right side of the editor. The “Source” setting in:
“Editor > Display > Properties in Document” still has no effect. Then there is a “Title” property that I would expect to be synchronized with the filename and title. This does not happen. I would also expect that when yaml mode is enabled, there is no other title above the yaml.
What I’m trying to do
Im trying to edit the frontmatter of a note.
Things I have tried
Search terms: frontmatter, frontmatter issue
Tried solutions with no result:
- Installed Obsidian on Windows (fresh installation)
- Installed some plugins to control the behavior of the frontmatter
- Deactivated all plugins
- Activated the default theme
