Is there a plugin or functionality to be able to, from a copied URL, import screenshot of that page rendered, capture page as html/markup, send page url to web.archive.org for a web-save, and import the screenshot as thumbnail/icon, import the full image inline in the note, import the webpage, put the original URL under or above the image/page/html , and also put the web.archive.org saved url into the current note just beneath the original URL, or a note the user will select?

Trying to gather info that sometimes disappears, and or is changed.

If there is no built in functionality to do this or something very close, what is the fewest number of functions/plugins necessary to do this in both mobile and desktop?

One plugin? No. There was a plugin that did (attempt to) do archiving of all webpages on a given markdown file but failed for me and was discontinued about two years ago. I forget the name.

You could use a combination of…

  • Slurp to download the markdown file to dedicated folder (not HTML though; actually Omnivore and other plugins also do markdown afaik);
  • Surfing plugin (or your dedicated web browser) to enter archive.ph into and manually archive the page;
  • Local Images Plus or Plus Plus or something to try and download the images in the markdown file locally (I think 30-40 percent of the time it won’t work with various image paths, though)

So it’s currently manual work as far as I know. I might be behind on recent plugins though, which might do archiving etc. Who knows. Who can keep up with plugins?
There is some screenshot plugin I reckon but again, more manual work.

Slurp works on mobile. For mobile, search on forum for shortcuts solutions if you own an iDevice. No idea about Android.

I reckon some Excalidraw workflow (for mobile and desktop) could be carved if screenshot or screenshot annotations are important, but again, more work and there is a learning curve.
