I’m moving to a simpler format for my Daily Notes. The main section is a log of thoughts, things done, observations, etc. Based on reading around here and other places, adding some kind of timestamp could be useful in the future.
What methods for this are “best” in terms of being lightweight, but of utility in the future, for formatting and tagging these items?
Formatting: using a list seems simplest and can be queried easily. I can also mix and match tasks with other items. I’m open to suggestions, of course.
Timestamp: simplest is to prefix the time, preferably in 24hr time, so something like:
- 0721: Fed the cat
Or should I be thinking about future queries and using an inline variable, such as:
- (time:: 07:21) - Actual update to be listed on daily log.
Or are there other methods that aren’t too obtrusive that will serve me better?
