Use case or problem
Hi team, love the new footnotes view. But in notes with a lot of footnotes it can be hard to find the precise one you’re looking for. I find myself lacking a way to search through just the footnotes.
Similarly, it would be nice to be able to jump to where the footnote is referenced in the note. As in long documents the context of the footnote is easily lost.
Proposed solution
- Add a search feature to the footnotes view. So you can easily find what you need, just like you can with backlinks.
- Add the ability to jump to where the footnote is referenced in the note from the footnotes view. Given every footnote can be referenced multiple times, it may not be the most straightforward thing to implement.
Current workaround (optional)
You can do a full document search, but that involves jumping around in the actual document. Which defeats the purpose of the footnote view.
