Footnote length limitation of 1012 characters

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create new note in Obsidian.

  2. Type text with three footnotes of varying lengths.

  3. The second footnote should contain 1013 characters.

Expected result

That all three footnotes are rendered normally in the reading mode (including links and formatting).

Actual result

The second footnote and subsequent footnotes are broken (links and formatting).

Additional information

As I understand it, Obsidian does not have a strict, hard-coded character limit on the length of a footnote. Because Obsidian uses Markdown, footnotes can be quite long, I see no reason for a limitation like this.

Although there are practical limitations and best practices to consider, I believe Obsidian can and should provide for various use cases. In this specific case, I used footnotes for additional information and to provide context to a Bible study. The footnotes might contain a long citation comprising several consecutive verses. It is rather frustrating to be bogged down and limited to how many consecutive verses I can reference in a footnote.
