Font Preservation in Linux

Good morning,

I have recently started using a new computer on which I have installed Fedora Linux, and have transferred all the files necessary for daily work to this computer via a USB. All my files seem intact, and I can load my vault normally, but for some reason the Interface + Text font I had on my old computer, NewComputerModernMath, is no longer the default font (I downloaded this font, as I do not recall it being pre-installed on Obsidian, but I do not recall how I did so, and somehow can’t trace the internet searches I used to do so either). Curiously, in the Appearance settings under Fonts I am told that ‘Currently applied font: NewComputerModernMath’.

I am able to change fonts in the regular way (And the corresponding ‘Currently applied font’ also changed as normal). I have tried following the advice from this post, which suggests the creation of a new css file to use the desired font (How to change font? - #11 by aalonso), but that didn’t work. What else can I try?

Thanks for your time and assistance

Obsidian’s settings seem fine but it’s not finding the font.

Install the font on the device however you normally would and restart Obsidian.

macOS and Windows don’t need a system restart after installing a new font, just an Obsidian restart, but I’m not sure about Linux.
