Bug Report: First Keystroke After Copy-Paste Is Lost in Obsidian v1.7.7
Description
After performing a copy-paste action, the first keystroke entered is displayed with an underline and immediately disappears, leading to the input being “swallowed.” The issue occurs consistently after each copy-paste operation.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Copy text from any external source.
- Paste the text into a note in Obsidian.
- After pasting, immediately type a character.
- The first keystroke will appear in the document with an underline, but it will disappear, and the subsequent characters will be “swallowed” — not appearing at all.
Expected Behavior:
The first keystroke should appear normally in the document without any special formatting (such as underlines), and subsequent characters should be entered correctly.
Actual Behavior:
- The first keystroke after a copy-paste action appears in the document with an underline.
- The subsequent input is “swallowed” and does not appear in the document.
Environment:
- Obsidian Version: v1.7.7
- Operating System: [Windows 11]
- Plugins: All third-party plugins have been disabled.
- Themes: The default theme is enabled (all third-party themes have been disabled).
