Filtered views for notes?

I’d like to read my exported Readwise notes without the [View Highlight] link that Readwise adds to the end of each highlight. Rather not delete them though since they do have uses.

Is there a way to filter these out simply while reading a note?

You have a couple of options:

  • If you don’t want to see some text at all in the Reading View, then use %%%% which is an Obsidian comment and it won’t be displayed in Reading View. You will see all that in the Source or Live Preview view, though.
  • If it bothers you that you can still see it in Live Preview, I recommend using a callout that’s collapsed by default. See Use callouts - Obsidian Help

Now if you want to automate all that, that’ll be trickier, but I’m sure there’s a way to write some JavaScript to transfer notes.

Very cool ideas, I’ll give them a try this weekend. Thanks for chiming in.
