File naming best practices for graph view

Hello roomies. I like naming my files yyyymmdd_file_name (this is the system I use in all of my files, media, content, etc.).

I understand that I can add a pipe [[yyyymmdd_file_name | Display Name]] so that the display in the preview looks the way I want it to.

But the graph view uses the file name instead of the display name, making the graph view harder to read.

Is there a workaround or am I missing something? (I’m fairly new to .md so be gentle, lol.)

You’re not missing anything. Note titles across the app are the filename except for the | feature you mentioned.
