I would like to manage my work-related project folders and files within my Obsidian vault, and organize documents systematically using a file search program.
However, when I place a large volume of data directly into the vault folder, Obsidian becomes extremely slow or appears to freeze and does not function properly.
I would like to know if there are any solutions to resolve this issue.

Does it happen after you disable all CSS snippets, switch to the default theme, and turn on Settings > Community plugins > Restricted mode?
If no, then look into which of those things are contributing.

What operating system are you on? And what Obsidian version and installer version?
What slows down? E.g., Obsidian startup, moving your mouse in the file explorer, loading any note, loading specific notes, opening other types of files, scrolling, markdown rendering, rending done by plugins, …)
Does the slowdown occur seemingly due to a large number of files and folders, or due to the length of a note? Or due to the type of content (is it code, plugin-related code, math, mermaid diagrams, lots of embeds, …)?
