Perhaps not specific to this occurrence but i’m seeing this error message Failed to open ""
with the ‘PDF++’ plugin
I guess this errors happens when files are stored remotely (cloud, another partition, USB stick, etc)
Files should be stored locally in one of the users directories, ideally in ~/Documents
I’ve started experiencing this issue as well. I started using Obsidian about 6 months ago very regularly so I have a lot of information in there. I had two vaults, and both of them have files none of which are opening with the same error message FAILED TO OPEN “”. I saw a few messages saying that it worked if they opened in the default app and made some edits and re-opened. But that didn’t work for me (it’s not opening in the default app).
I have all my .md files on my local desktop and the only community plug-in I had downloaded was calendar in both the vaults. I am noticing that my community plugins are also gone and any theme changes I had made have also been reverted back to the original setting. What can I do? I am a fairly new user and would love some help to restore this back to the way it was. Thanks!
That’s a pretty significant “also”. I wonder if it’s something different than the topic issue.
