"Failed to load community plugins."

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Settings → Community plugins → Browse.
  2. Observe the error message.

Expected result

Plugins are available for browsing.

Actual result

Error message: “Failed to load community plugins.”

Environment

  • Operating system: Kubuntu 18.04
  • Obsidian version: 11.9

No, I’m not.

I think you are. There is something that blocks Obsidian’s connection to github servers.
Can you check for updates within obsidian?

Perhaps you run the app in some container and you block internet connection?

Flatpak distribution might containerize some app by default on Linux, I use flatseal as a gui to set levels of subsystem, If you use flatpak check if Obsidian has access to network

Yes, I’m able to check for Obsidian updates:

I’m also able to reach Github from the browser.

I’m using a Snap package.

The updates has a back up server. The browser is one thing. If you have app level restriction they won’t apply to the browser.
Do you get errors in console (ctrl-shift-i)?
