Extremely long base64 encoded images

Im trying to make my searches more clear, have faster note loading times and simply copy and paste my images from my notes when necessary but all my images in my notes seem to be thousands of characters long

The only solution I ever see to this is creating an attachment folder path and I have done this but I dont want to have to search through thousands of images in a single folder each time I want to copy and paste an image. Have there been any solutions to this quite annoying problem?

It sounds like you have been using a plugin or an external tool to insert your images as base64? Obsidian doesn’t do that by itself.

You don’t have to do that. You can type the image’s name in the Quick Switcher to open it directly, or in the link suggester that appears when you type ![[ or use the “Insert attachment” command. (This requires the images to have meaningful names.)
