Export multiple notes at once to Markdown?

What I’m trying to do

I haven’t used Obsidian in a while, and I’m wondering if there is currently a way — built-in or via a plugin — to export multiple notes at once, preferably to Markdown format. For example:

  • Selecting several notes consecutively and exporting them together
  • Or exporting all notes from a specific folder in one action

Basically, I’m looking for a simple batch export solution for Markdown files.

Things I have tried

I’ve searched the forum and documentation for terms like “batch export”, “export multiple notes”, and “folder export markdown”, but I haven’t found a clear solution.

I’ve also tried the canvas2document plugin. While it works in certain cases, it feels somewhat outdated and limited, and the workflow is fairly cumbersome for larger exports.

Is there a more straightforward way to handle this today?

They already are markdown files. You can select them in your system’s file browser then copy and paste.

If you mean formats other than markdown—say which ones so folks can offer suggestions.

If you want to export multiple notes as a single file, there is the Easy Bake plugin (I think there may be others too but I don’t remember any names).

Thank you! I noticed that Easy Bake hasn’t been updated in a couple of years, though it still seems to work.
Are there any plans to make batch Markdown export a built-in feature in Obsidian?

Not that I know of. You could search the forum for a feature request, and post one if it you don’t find any.
