Exclude symbols from titles in Outline?

I enjoy working with highlighting and bold in titles.

Since I’m using Shimmering Focus as my theme, I use bold and italics around highlights to create three different highlight colors, which is really cool.

However, as I get into longer and longer notes, I’ve started using the core Outline tool to navigate my writing.

Is there a way to have the Outline tool exclude the symbols in its headings? So like
it would say

==Title==
==Header2==

Stuff like that. It’s not a huge deal, but it makes it a little harder to quickly see what I’m looking at.
