When I create a note with a template in the Buttons plugin, the tamplate is first created but then deleted. This was not the case before, I don’t know why and when this error started to occur.

I’m not a Button plugin specialist but I’ve seen months ago (even a year now?) that this plugin has been discontinued.
Try to migrate the workflow along with the template creation methods over to the Meta Bind plugin’s Buttons.
Otherwise I cannot really analyze what is supposed to happen with the Button syntax being used. Seems like there is a race condition or underyling javascript issues of some sort happening on template creation, because the frontmatter cannot be merged?
Try the Meta Bind plugin with proper paths to templates and templates that work well. We don’t even know your templates. But as I said, better let Buttons go.
Thank you, I’ve given up on the Button app and am moving on with Meta Bind.
