What I’m trying to do

Is it possible to encrypt my local Obsidian files using VeraCrypt and make Obsidian access the encrypted files without mounting the VC volume? That way, no one can see the files unless they see it through Obsidian.

Also, is it possible to add a password to Obsidian every time the computer sleeps or logs off?

This improves the security.

I don’t know about VeraCrypt, but the Lock Screen plugin may do what you want for the second part. It’s purely a UI lock, so you’d still want a separate solution for encryption.
