Hi guys,
is there a way to embed an png in a way that allows the background to stay translucent, when the file is embedded?
Thanks for answering

That’s already the case for me.
I downloaded the image from Sample Transparent - PNG All | PNG All, then dragged it into the Obsidian document from Finder (on a Mac), then changed the document background colour via the Web Inspector to confirm. It’s transparent.
Same here…
I use .png files in my vault and it has no background. Does it add a color in your vault?
I insert my png-file from the Desktop and had no issue with the background color… I can change the theme and the background is still transparent… Can you specify your problem? Does it have a background when you open the picture in other programs?
Well, thx . I tried it with the png above and it also worked as it should in my vault. I guess the files I downloaded to test it with, just didnt provide transparancy
