# Embed search

I’m rather new to Obsidian , and still trying to grasp everything.
Can someone explain how to embed searches. I found this in the help file, but don’t really get it : Embed search results

You can embed search results in a note.

For example, if you write:

`````````query
embed OR search
``````
``````You should see this embedded search view
``````

embed OR search

``````
I can get it to write just that. But where do I go from there?``````
The Vantage plugin is designed to help you create (and embed) complex searches.
In general, though, any query you run via the conventional search box can be written in a “code fence” with the “query” type. In other words, on the middle line here:
`````````query
{search goes here}
\```
``````
(Without the backslash on the last line. I can’t get Discourse to render this appropriately… )
