Steps to reproduce
- enter an email address with ‘ä’, ‘ü’, or ‘ö’ in it into a note
- I’ll be using “[email protected]” and “ä[email protected]” as examples
- switch to reading mode
Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]
Y
- tested without plugins and in Sandbox mode
Expected result
“ä[email protected]” should be parsed the same as “[email protected]”
Actual result
“[email protected]” is parsed as an email address in full, but “ä[email protected]” is parsed as “[email protected]” with a lonely ‘ä’ in front of it

Edit: I realise that it says “Live preview: on” in the System Info, but I took that while in split view with reading mode on the right.
This only appears in reading mode, as I somewhat hinted in the steps to reproduce.
Additional information
Note: in my vault, the behavior is as described. In the preview of this bug report, “ä[email protected]” is not recognized as an email at all.
