Editing file in vault on desktop error

First, search the help docs and this forum. Maybe your question has been answered! The debugging steps can help, too. Still stuck? Delete this line and proceed.

What I’m trying to do

Edit a file in a vault that I recently copied to my PC from my phone, but I get the following error:
“Failed to save file “~Templates/Continent.md”. EPERM: operation not permitted, open ‘C:\Users\myname\Downloads\World~Templates\Continent.md’. Make a backup of the contents of this file now to avoid losing data.”

Things I have tried

Removing the vault from the list and re-adding it. Deleting the vault folder off my PC and redownloading it. Moving the vault folder to another parent folder and trying to use it from there.

“vault wont save after moving it to PC” I haven’t tried any solutions from forums because I haven’t found a relevant thread.

You may have root on your Android and the files have also has root and not user permissions.
Obsidian needs user permissions.

That name seems kind of strange, especially when the two error messages reports different messages. So maybe try to rename the file on your phone, and then try to copy the vault again. I’d remove the ~, spaces, and definitively any forward or backward slashes if they are present in the actual file name (and not as part of the full file path).
