Edit and/or Remove Payment Method via Web Account Portal

Use case or problem

Obsidian’s account web portal only allows you to add payment options. This is an issue if you have had a legal name change and are reissued a new card with the same number, but different exp. date, CVV, and name; when you attempt to add this new card, the web portal will give you an error stating that this card has already been added.

Proposed solution

The simplest solution would be to allow the user to remove the payment method in the portal. A more elegant solution could also allow editing an existing payment method.

Current workaround (optional)

Currently, you need to contact custom service ([email protected]) and ask them to remove it for you.

To add to this, some government employees have rules that they can’t keep their cards on as a saved payment. Additionally, they can’t buy gift cards (so Obsidian Credit doesn’t work). They currently need to email the inbox to have the payment method removed.
