Easy way to create checklists with mouse?

Hello,

What is the easiest and fastest way to create a checkbox with the mouse?

I am sure I had this not long ago but cannot figure out which plugin facilitated it. I have disabled most of my plugins because it was out of control.

Plugins I have active, that I use: Editing toolbar, Tasks, Excelidraw, Kanban, Markdown Table Editor.

It seems logical that it was Editing Toolbar that allowed me to click an icon and insert a checkbox. Am I missing an option here? I cannot see a way to customise this.

I can of course use Command + L which is fine, but sometimes I want to use the mouse.

Can anyone help me? It is driving me crazy.

my solution was to use a mouse with programmable buttons, then bind a bunch of shortcuts to those. Not sure what can be done with just left right and middle click, however

Editing Toolbar sounds like the one. I’m not familiar with its options, but maybe its documentation can help.
