Is it safe to allow Dynalist Inc to make changes?
Twice, Windows has asked me to allow Dynalist Inc to make changes to the hard drive on this pc. Just like when you install a program for the first time.
I haven’t installed anything new, so I have clicked on No.
Does anyone know if this is safe and why it is happening?
If there is an Obsidian update, I don’t get these kind of messages.

What are you doing that triggers this?
Dynalist Inc. is our company name.
It has happened twice.
I haven’t done anything to initiate or launch it.
Windows just tells me that Dynalist Inc wants to make changes to my hard drive.
I click on no.
I usually have two vaults open at the same time so I don’t know which vault it is asking to install into.
I’ve just checked and I needed to update one of my vaults. I am now using version 1.8.7.
I’ve got Automatic Updates toggled to On.
If it happens again, should I click Yes?

It should not pop up like that, you should have to click something before it does.
Can you share a screenshot of the popup that shows up?
Yes, I keep wondering if it was something that I pressed, but I don’t recall doing anything and I was not trying to update or install anything.
I tried to take a screenshot at the time, but Windows fades out the background and I can’t open the Snipping Tool when it is like that.
I also tried the print screen button but it wouldn’t take a screenshot.
If it happens again, I will take a photo using my phone and post it here.
And if it happens again, should I click yes or no?
