Duplicating text with Cmd + Shift + D stopped working?

What I’m trying to do

I’ve used the keyboard shortcut Cmd + Shift + D in Obsidian for as long as I’ve been using the program, at least 18 months. When I press this it duplicates the line of text where the cursor is, or whatever text is currently selected.

Inexplicably, this keyboard shortcut stopped working in the past couple of days. It doesn’t seem to be a configurable Hotkey, and I can’t find any documentation to show that it ever should have worked in the first place so I am very confused!!

Does anyone else use this keyboard shortcut?—does it work for you? Any suggestions for how to get it working again?

Things I have tried

  • Restarting Obsidian—no change
  • Restarting computer—no change
  • Hotkeys settings — not available
  • Test in other software (e.g. VS Code)—still works normally

Updating in case anyone comes up with the same question…

Turns out my Hotkeys ++ plugin had been disabled somehow, and re-enabling it is how I got the shortcut to work again. Simple solution! :roll_eyes::joy:
