Hi everyone,
I released a new Obsidian community plugin called Dualyze Notes.
Dualyze Notes helps you find similar or overlapping notes in your vault, compare them, and create safe merge drafts.
The plugin is designed for people who often end up with multiple notes about the same topic and want a safer way to review, compare, and clean them up.
What it does

Find similar notes in the current folder

Compare notes using local text similarity analysis

Show similarity scores for title, headings, tags, links, and content

Generate Markdown comparison reports

Create safe merge draft notes

Mark notes as merge candidates using frontmatter
Local-first and safe by design
Dualyze Notes does not use an AI provider or external API.
It runs locally and does not automatically delete or overwrite your original notes.
When creating reports or merge drafts, it keeps links back to the source notes so you can review everything manually.

This is the first release, so the focus is intentionally simple:

Future versions may add broader vault scanning, more comparison views, and optional AI-assisted workflows depending on feedback.
