Dragging-and-dropping external files with CTRL doesn't produce file links

Dragging-and-dropping external files with the intention of linking them doesn’t result in anything on MacOS

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use Obsidian (on MacOS ?)
  2. Drag any document outside the vault from Finder into an Obsidian note while pressing the control or command key

Expected result

According to this description, a properly-escaped link to the file should appear in the document, rather than copying the file and embedding it.

Actual result

Nothing happens (also tested in safe mode)
