What I’m trying to do

I am new to Obsidian and finding my way. I can see that if I attach a JPEG to a note I can then at a later time simply drag that file to my desktop or to an email, but I cannot find a way to drag a PDF to my desktop (from Obsidian).
Is it possible to easily do this (as you can with Jpeg files. Is there a Pluggin that would acheive this. I work heavily with PDFs (all day) so easily dragging PDFs from an Obsidian note to the desktop or to an email is a deal breaker. Can it be done?
